3. "I am your father" ... and I want to go to the Air Force Museum!
Check out the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force's newest exhibit, Iconic Starfighters: Rivals of the Silver Screen.
Now on display through December 2026, this temporary exhibit features two full-scale, fan-created spacecraft inspired by some of the most recognizable designs from the Star Wars Universe. Whether you're a fan of aviation or a fan of the films, this exhibit is sure to offer a fun and memorable experience.
4. Road Trip!

The Miami Valley Trails has 340 miles of paved connected trails perfect for a day of walking, running, hiking, and biking! These trails wind though the city as well as scenic countryside. They connect historic landmarks, local parks, and area attractions. It's a great way to spend the day connecting with nature and with each other.
5. Geek out with Dad at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery!

The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery is waiting for you and dad to enjoy Father’s Day weekend, exploring everything from earthbound creatures to outer space.
6. Take a trip back in time at Carillon Historical Park

Time travel back into Dayton's history with Dad at Carillon Historical Park, where you can see the original Wright Flyer III, visit a fully operational 1930s letterpress print shop, climb aboard the Carillon Park Railroad, or take a break at Carillon Brewing Company.
7. Make a stop at Ohio's newest Buc-ee's!
Looking for a fun and unexpected Father's Day stop? Make a trip to the newest (and Ohio's only) Buc-ee's, located at 8000 Ohio 235 in Huber Heights!
Known for its massive selection of snacks, famous Beaver Nuggets, fresh barbecue, and unique merchandise. Buc-ee's offers something every dad will enjoy. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite to eat or filling up your tank, just exploring this larger-than-life store is an experience all on its own.
8. Hike to the top of Woodland Cemetery

For the history-buff dad, you can also visit Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum, the final resting place of the Wright Brothers and many other famous Daytonians. While you are there, make sure you make your way to the very top and bask in the beautiful view of the Dayton skyline.
9. Get out on the water

Grab a kayak or canoe and get out on the water for a leisurely river trip or some exciting whitewater.
