WGI Sport of the Arts (Winter Guard International)

WGIWGI Sport of the Arts is the world’s premier organization producing indoor color guard, percussion, and winds competitions.  As a non-profit youth organization, WGI also serves as the governing body for the indoor color guard, percussion, and winds activities. It is called the Sport of the Arts because it brings music to life through performance in a competitive format. Even with more than 45 years of history, the sport continues to evolve and grow.

WGI World Championships

WGI Sport of the Arts will continue to hold its World Championship events in greater Dayton and Southwest Ohio through 2031! This is a major win for the area, as the World Championships bring approximately 60,000 people and an estimated direct spending economic impact of more than $18 million to the region. Thank you to WGI, which is headquartered in Miamisburg, for its continued commitment to the region!

Watch here and at the WGI Sport of the Arts website for more information about the 2025 World Championships.
