For more than two decades, Dayton Dragons fans have continued to fill the stands at Day Air Ballpark, and that tradition showed no signs of slowing down in 2026. Following a historic season that saw the Dragons make a run in the Midwest League Playoffs, the team's active sellout streak now stands at 1,704 consecutive games, a remarkable milestone that reflects the continued support of the Dayton-area community.
That support helped the Dragons finish the 2026 season ranked #1 in Minor League Baseball™ in average attendance per home date, drawing an average of 7,863 fans per game across 65 home dates. The Dragons welcomed a total of 511,123 fans to Day Air Ballpark during the 2026 season, ranking fourth among all 120 Minor League Baseball™ teams.
The 2026 season also marked the fifth consecutive year the Dragons finished among the top three teams in average attendance across all levels of Minor League Baseball™. The team also ranked #1 among all 60 Class-A teams for the 26th consecutive season and #1 among all teams below the Triple-A level for the 20th straight season.
But the excitement at Day Air Ballpark extends beyond Minor League Baseball™. Throughout 2026, the ballpark also hosted high school and college baseball games, a Dragons 5K, Great American Beer Tasting, charity walks, movie nights, and other community events. The season also brought the opening of the South Dayton Toyota Diamond Club, a new indoor event and catering space that can accommodate groups up to 225 people.
The Dragons will continue bringing people together at Day Air Ballpark this winter with the return of Deck the Diamond. This holiday lights show and walk-through experience will feature 1.1 million lights, along with a festive lineup of holiday activities and experiences for guests of all ages. The Dragons are already looking ahead to another season of baseball in Dayton. The team recently announced its 2027 season schedule, which will feature 66 regular season home games at Day Air Ballpark, beginning with a home opener against the Great Lakes Loons on Friday, April 2. 2027 season ticket information is now available, with more details available on the Dayton Dragons website.
