Wilbear Wright Aviation Trail Passport

Wilbear Wright the Aviator Teddy Bear, a rumored distant relative of Wilbur and Orville Wright, invites you to explore the Greater Dayton area's amazing, authentic aviation sites! In fact, if you download a Wilbear Passport, you merely have to collect stamps from 8 of 17 aviation sites in order to submit your passport and receive your very own Wilbear Wright Aviator Teddy Bear!  According to Wilbear, if you're really flyin' you can hit 8 sites in one day; however, we recommend that you spend several days (or take a year if you like!) to complete your passport.  The Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park's Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center is the only required stop.  You can download a passport or pick one up at any of the 17 participating sites. Guaranteed Top-Flight Fun!

Five Rivers MetroParks Trails Challenge

Your Five Rivers MetroParks locations are home to 160 miles of paved and natural surface trails for hiking, cycling, mountain biking and horseback riding. The greater Dayton region is home to more than 350+ miles of paved trails – the nation’s largest paved trail network – and 270 miles of river corridor.  The MetroParks Trails Challenge is a fun way to explore them. MetroParks’ outdoor recreation team has selected 28 trails that range in mileage and difficulty that you can hike, walk, bike, jog or run.  New this year, the MetroParks Trails Challenge includes flat water paddles at Eastwood and Possum Creek MetroParks. This challenge is a convenient way to improve your physical and mental health while connecting with nature and enjoying an active lifestyle.  You can participate by completing just one trail. You’ll be entered to win a $100 gift card to a local outdoor retailer of your choosing for each trail you complete. Complete all 28 trails and get 28 chances to win. Everyone who completes at least 18 trails will receive a MetroParks Trails Challenge sticker. Additionally, 100 people who complete at least 18 trails will be selected at random to receive a 2025 Trails Challenge T-shirt.
