1. Explore the World of Art Nouveau at Dayton Art Institute

The Triumph of Nature: Art Nouveau from the Chrysler Museum of Art

The Triumph of Nature: Art Nouveau from the Chrysler Museum of Art presents the refined, ever-popular and elegant curvilinear designs and nature-based motifs of Art Nouveau. From the rich holdings of the Chrysler Museum of Art, more than 120 turn-of-the-20th century treasures are included, with works by Tiffany, Mucha, Gallé, Beardsley and many others. Furniture, paintings, sculpture, mosaics, books, posters, prints, lamps, glass art and more highlight the innovative ways artists made harmonious visual arrangements. 2. Go Skating at RiverScape

November 28-30 marks the opening weekend for the MetroParks Ice Rink–the region’s largest outdoor ice rink–at RiverScape MetroPark in downtown Dayton. The rink has something for everyone: beginners’ lessons, open skating, broomball and curling, not to mention hot chocolate and music. Ice skating is a great way to experience the outdoors during the cooler weather and provides a winter tradition for Miami Valley families looking for something fun to do together. 5. Take a Wintertime Hike at Aullwood Audubon

If you need to get outdoors and burn off a few Thanksgiving calories, head to Aullwood Audubon Center & Farm, where you can hike the trails and meet some of Aullwood's most famous residents, the Thomas Dambo Trolls, Bo, Bodil and Bibbi!
